Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
Unexpected power-downs are one symptom that the SMC requires resetting. If your macbook keeps turning itself off without warning:
- Read this apple support article (note other possible ‘abnormal system behaviour’ indicators are listed)
- Follow the steps to reset the SMC at the bottom of article.
