ReactOS – a free and open-source OS that will run windows software – is a terrific idea. Particularly so to all of those users of legacy Windows software: who are coping with the death of Windows 7 (in 2020) and the projected demise of Windows 10 (2025).
Progress in releasing a viable ReactOS, unfortunately, is painfully slow. This post overviews what has changed since our last report.
New alpha version released
A new alpha version 0.4.14 of ReactOS has been released and is ready for the adventurous to download. This version includes symmetric multiprocessing support: and is definitely a big step forward.
